Did you study in any film school or private course? Or did you learn to make movies on your own?

I studied in film schools, mainly the basics of filmmaking in a few courses (New York Film Academy, Budapest Film Academy, ELTE Budapest Filmmaking). I mainly made student short films here.

How many years have you been making movies and how did you get started in movies?

12 years ago I read an exciting trilogy and imagined a movie out of it. I contacted some of my producer friends to find out how this could be done. They said don't even dream of it, it's a Hollywood story. Then I looked for a film course where I learned the basics of filmmaking, screenwriting, directing, and production skills. And after a year I made my first short film and then I traveled to Los Angeles to see what there is to be afraid of. :)

One of the problems that we filmmakers have is that we are not like the actors or the technical team, who work with many different productions and can learn different ways of doing things. Normally we only attend our own shoots. Have you had the opportunity to assist in the shooting of other people or are you usually only in your own shoots? If yes, is there anything that caught your attention?

I am happy to say that I have been lucky enough to see or work in several productions. I participated in an American independent film in Oregon as a producer, in the realization of a war film (Drága Elza) as a producer, and in several student short film productions.

What budget did you have for your project?

Our budget was $25,000.

Is it self financed?

Yes, completely with the help of a sponsor and a lot of volunteer work.

Any anecdote that you can tell us about the filming?

There is a scene in the film that takes place in the office of a Japanese businessman in front of an LED wall. A few days before the shoot, I didn't know where to get a suitable sofa set. I went into the cutting room and in the corridor I saw a rattan furniture just like I imagined. I asked why it was here. The studio is moving, they said. I immediately agreed and we borrowed the furniture. I'm sure the celestials put it in the hallway right then.:)

What are you most proud of about this project?

I am most proud of the fact that, despite the skepticism of many, it was possible to realize this pilot film and to continuously motivate and keep the project contributors alive. A dream of mine has come true, because we are working on the prequel to the original trilogy.

And what less? What would you change if you could go backwards?

I think nothing, maybe I would shorten the time and, knowing the experiences, I would try to get there faster.

Did you comply with the shooting plan or did it take longer than expected?

Everything went exactly as planned, based on the daily schedule.

Fincher says that if a director can translate into a film 70% of what he had in mind, he can be more than satisfied. What % do you think you have achieved in this project?

I think I have 70%, but there is still room for improvement to reach 100%:)

If you had unlimited budget. Which actor and actress would you like to work with?

Huh, interesting question. Robert Downey Jr. and Chloe Grace Moretz.

Your favorite movie?

Matrix, 24 series, Scandal, 1984, Lucy

And filmmaker?

Denis Villeneuve, Luc Besson

What is the scene that has impacted you the most?

I just saw Dune 2 the other day, its visuals are amazingly monumental.

If you could do a remake of a movie, what would it be?

1984, George Orwell

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Do you think you will continue making movies?

I see myself at the Oscars in 10 years with the statue in my hand
